According to the Colombian Ministry of Health, 44.7% of the population under 24 years of age suffers from mental health problems.
Between January and October 2024, there were 183 cases of child suicide in Colombia, according to Medicina Legal (National Forensics Authority), of which 56% were boys and 44% were girls.
79% of these cases were carried out by teenagers between the ages of 14 and 17; 20% occurred to minors between the ages of 10 and 13, while 1% occurred among children between the ages of 5 and 9.

At VID Family Center we support children and their families, offering them a comprehensive model that combines promotion, prevention and training activities with personalized therapeutic care processes according to the specific needs of each case.
Through our family therapies we seek to ensure that safe environment in which the minor can strengthen its bonds, improve its communication and resolve conflicts. We work together to build healthier and more harmonious family dynamics, promoting the well-being of each member of the household and, especially that of the children.
Another of our approaches to the current situation of child mental health is the production of editorial, pedagogical and recreational material that serves as a complementary tool to the process developed with children and their families.

With your support, we can keep treating and average of 600 children per year, with 15 sessions each, at an average treatment cost of USD $15.00 per session, ensruing an accompaniment for them to have a balanced mental health and for their families to become their safe spaces.
Our Goal for 2025 is to collect USD $13.500
